TEM #016: It’s all happening.

October 27, 2023

It’s Friday! You made it (*deep breaths*).

Another big week here, I:

  • Graduated from a small business development program 🎉

  • Created and presented two new webinars on deciding when to go back to graduate school and how to apply

  • Made amazing new connections at a local young professionals summit for women

  • Braved a 15-person line at the craft store to get $2 of felt for a pineapple Halloween costume (as part of a “fruit salad” ensemble)

This week’s highlights:

  • Your education affirmation

  • The Graduate School Application Bootcamp sign-up is open until Monday!

  • Life is grand 🗻

Education affirmation.

The Graduate School Application Bootcamp is OPEN

Join The Graduate School Application Bootcamp (it’s FREE!) and get the support you need to hit SUBMIT on your application.

What to expect starting October 30:

  • 3 Monday emails with action steps and templates

  • 3 Thursday live Question & Answer calls with a small group of amazing applicants (you’re not alone in this process!)

  • Personal statement support before submission

  • A boost of confidence and a cheerleader in your corner 📣

The best part?

Get pure honesty from a university educator who knows how the process works… and also pushed through imposter syndrome while applying to graduate school as a working professional.

I’ve got you.

Here’s the schedule:

  • Week 1: October 30 (Email), November 2 (Q&A Call)

    • Letters of Recommendation + How to Choose a Scroll-Stopping Personal Statement Story

  • Week 2: November 6 (Email), November 9 (Q&A Call)

    • How to Connect with Admissions and Faculty + Imposter Syndrome

  • Week 3: November 13 (Email), November 16 (Q&A Call)

    • Addressing Weak Points on Application + Personal Statement Final Drafts

The live Q&A calls are at 7:30PM ET and completely optional. You’ll still get the weekly emails and support 🤝

Looking forward to getting you across the finish line!

Fun fact.

This week, a 92-year old man made the 24-mile trek around the Grand Canyon from rim to rim.

Stories like these remind me I can do hard things (and so can you!).

Whether you’re going for a world record or finishing a draft of your personal statement this weekend - you’ve got this.

See you in The Graduate School Application Bootcamp next week!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Dr. Jena

P.S. Have a coworker, friend or mentee who’s finishing up the application process? Forward this email and encourage them to check out the bootcamp. Your message could be the vote of confidence they need to hit submit this year : )
